เรื่องย่อ ต้มยำลำซิ่ง
ทูนอินทร์ เจ้าของ ไร่อินสรวง ที่ สระบุรี มีความรู้ความสามารถในการแต่งเพลง และร้องลูกทุ่งในระดับอาชีพ แต่ ด้วยความเป็นคนขี้อาย เพราะเคยมีประสบการณ์เลวร้ายมาตั้งแต่วัยเด็ก 12 ขวบ เมื่อต้องออกไปร้องเพลงในการประกวดลูกทุ่งเยาวชน ทูนถูกเด็กหญิงวัยห้าขวบหน้าฝรั่งที่เป็นคู่แข่งในงาน แกล้งใส่ตุ๊กแกยางลง ไปในกางเกง ทูนช็อค กลางเวที ร้องไม่ได้ และฉี่ราดกางเกง กลายเป็นตัวตลกของงาน นับแต่นั้นทูน ไม่กล้าร้องเพลงให้ใครฟังอีก จนเมื่อเขามีความรักกับนักร้องสาวที่เขากำลังปลุกปั้นอย่าง ฟ้าใส ทูน แต่งเพลงให้ฟ้าใสหลายเพลง และฟ้าใสเยียวยาให้ทูนหายประหม่า และช่วยให้เขา ออกมาร้องเพลงในผับคู่กับเธอได้ ทั้งสองตกลงจะออกเพลงลูกทุ่งโดยร้องร่วม กัน แต่แล้วเมื่อโครงการใกล้เสร็จสมบูรณ์ ฟ้าใสก็ทิ้งทูนไปซบกับค่ายเพลง ใหญ่ของ เสี่ยดำรง แถมยังขโมยทำนองบางท่อนของทูนไปด้วย แถมยังรู้ ว่าฟ้าใสเป็นเมียน้อยของเสี่ยเข้าอีก ยิ่งทำให้ทูนจิตตกและป่วยใจอยู่เป็น ปี เขาไม่สามารถออกมาร้องเพลงต่อหน้าผู้คนได้อีกเลยเป็นการถาวร ร้องทีไรก็ สะอื้นไห้เมื่อนึกถึงฟ้าใส ด้วยความรักในเสียงเพลงไม่เสื่อมคลาย ทำให้ทูนลุกขึ้นมาสู้อีกครั้ง เมื่อ พี่เมธ นัก ร้องนักดนตรีระดับครู และเคยร่วมกันทำบริษัทผลิตรายการมาก่อน มาเปิดร้าน อาหารกึ่งผับที่สระบุรี และชักชวนทูนมาเล่นดนตรีให้ที่ร้าน ทูนตั้งวงดนตรี ขึ้นโดยมีสมาชิกคือ อินทร น้องชาย และสมุนสองนาย หนวนอู้ และ หนานอิน ชื่อวงว่า ต้มแซ่บ งาน นี้พี่เมธยังช่วยทูนแต่งเพลงอยู่หลายเพลงแล้วร้องเล่นกันเองในร้าน ทูนหวังว่าสักวันนึงเพลงและวงของเขาจะออกไปฮิตเหมือนวงดังๆทั้งหลายและเขาจะ ต้องดังสู้กับฟ้าใสให้ได้
แล้ววันหนึ่งทูนก็ติดใจเสียงร้องของสาว รุ้งระวี ศรีแอลเอ สาวลูกครึ่งไทยอเมริกันอยู่ที่แอลเอ กำลังดังจากเพลง ฝากจิ้มแจ่วไปแอลเอ ทูน ได้เห็นมิวสิคของเธอ และหลงไหลกิริยาอ่อนช้อย แต่ทูนจับพิรุธได้ว่ารุ้งโกหกประชาชน เพราะทูนบังเอิญเจอเธอเดินเล่นอยู่ที่ ตลาดน้ำ ทั้งๆ ที่ค่ายเพลงประกาศว่ารุ้งยังเดินทางมาไม่ถึงเมืองไทย ทูนอยากรู้ความจริงถึง กับปลอมตัวไปรับรุ้งที่สุวรรณภูมิพร้อมกับทร และจับได้ในที่สุดว่ารุ้งโกหก จริง เขาช่วยรุ้งพ้นจากการแฉความจริงของนักร้องร่วมค่ายขี้อิจฉาอย่าง จุ๊บแจง แตงร่มใบ, ขวัญข้าว สาวอีสาน กับหนุ่มหน้ามนรูปงาม อาชา อาชาไนย ที่เป็นเกย์ในคราบหนุ่มหล่อล่ำ โดยมีพี่เลี้ยงรุ้งอย่าง จี่หอย และ มะปราง เป็นกำลังสนับสนุน ทูนไม่รู้ว่าที่รุ้งมาเมืองไทยก่อน เพราะเธอคิดถึงเมืองไทยมาก และเธออยากมาตามหาแม่ที่ไม่เคยเจอเธออีกเลยนับสิบปี
แม้จะรู้ว่ารุ้ง โกหกแต่เพราะหลงเสน่ห์สาวรุ้งเข้าแล้ว ทูนประกาศว่ารุ้งนี่ แหละจะเป็นคนที่ร้องเพลงของเขาสู่สาธารณะ ซึ่งพี่เมธและอินทรเห็นว่าไม่มี ทางเป็นไปได้ เพราะรุ้งสังกัดอยู่กับค่ายเพลงยักษ์อิทธิซาวนด์ของ นายอิทธิ พลกำแหง มาเฟีย ใหญ่ของวงการเพลงลูกทุ่ง และรุ้งเป็นหวานใจคนใหม่ของนายอิทธิเสียด้วย แต่ ทูนไม่สนเขาพร้อมจะเสี่ยง และก่อนอื่นเขาจะสืบประวัติรุ้งให้ถ่องแท้ เพราะ เขาเชื่อว่ารุ้งปลอมแปลงอดีตตัวเองทั้งหมด ด้านนายอิทธิสั่งให้โปรโมทรุ้งในฐานะหลานสาวไฮโซเด็กนอก แต่ด้วยเลือดความ เป็นไทยทำให้เธอหัดพูดแล้วร้องเพลงจากชุมชนคนไทยที่นั่น จนร้องเพลงลูกทุ่ง ระดับอาชีพ รุ้งกลายเป็นดาวดังในทันที แต่ในความจริงแล้วเธอคือสาวลูกครึ่งจนๆในย่าน สลัมของโคราช แม่เป็นนักร้องบาร์ชื่อ นางแสงหล้า ได้เสียกับ ชายอเมริกันแล้วทิ้งเธอกับลูกไป แสงหล้าสอนลูกสาวร้องเพลงและพาตระเวนประกวดเกือบทุกเวที จนกระทั่งนางได้สามีใหม่จึงส่งลูกสาวไปอเมริกาเมื่อเธอได้เก้าขวบและขาดการ ติดต่อนับแต่นั้น
ทูนได้โอกาสใกล้ชิดกับรุ้งอีก เมื่อบริษัทผลิตรายการของพี่เมธรับโปรเจคท์ ถ่ายทำมิวสิค และสารคดีบันทึกเบื้องหลังการแสดงของรุ้งและศิลปินในค่ายของ อิทธิ ทูนเสนอตัวเป็นตากล้องให้ โดยมีอินทรเป็นผู้ช่วยกล้อง ทั้งสองเข้ามา ในทีมถ่ายทำ ทูนได้ใกล้ชิดรุ้งเต็มที่ และเริ่มสงสัยว่ารุ้งเป็นฝรั่งดอง อย่างที่เป็นข่าวลือรึเปล่า เพราะบางครั้งรุ้งก็หลุดบท ทานส้มตำปลาร้าเผ็ด จัดหน้าตาเฉย เมื่อเข้ามาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของทีมงาน ทูนต้องช่วยรุ้งจากการกลั่นแกล้งของกลุ่มจุ๊บแจง โดยเฉพาะตัวจุ๊บแจงเองที่ เคยเป็นเมียลับๆ ของอิทธิ และเกลียดรุ้งที่มาแย่งทั้งความรักและเพลงดังๆ ไปจากเธอ งานนี้พี่เลี้ยงอย่าง เจ๊จวงใจ สาวใหญ่หน้าเหี้ยมคอยเสี้ยมอยู่ตลอดเวลา ทั้งทูน อินทร พี่จี่หอย และน้องปราง ต้องคอยปกป้องรุ้ง
ในการออกทัวร์คอนเสิร์ทสี่ภาค รุ้งไปร้องเพลงที่โคราช ทูนแอบตามรุ้งและจี่หอยที่ออกไปเที่ยวย่านสลัมกลางเมืองและรู้ว่าที่แท้รุ้ง มาตามหาแม่แต่ไม่พบ ทูนแน่ใจแล้วว่าเธอเป็นแหม่มตัวปลอม ไม่ได้ไปอยู่แอลเอตั้งแต่สามขวบแน่ๆ
ระหว่างที่รุ้งและกลุ่มนักร้อง ของค่ายไปโชว์ตัวแจกลายเซ็นและซีดีเพลงที่ ตลาด รุ้งพบหญิงชราเข้ามาขอลายเซ็น นางขอร้องให้รุ้งร้องเพลงเพลงหนึ่งที่ รุ้งเคยร้องประกวดสมัยเด็ก รุ้งร้องให้ฟัง นางร่ำไห้จนรุ้งสงสัยว่านางเป็น ใคร แต่นางก็หลบออกไปเสียก่อน ทูนเองก็สงสัยเช่นกัน เพราะเขาจำได้คลับคล้าย คลับคลาว่าสมัยเด็กที่แข่งประกวดกับเด็กแหม่มคนนั้น เขาก็เคยได้ยินแม่ของ เด็กร้องเพลงนี้ให้ได้ยิน ทำให้ทูนเริ่มสงสัยว่าเด็กแหม่มตัวร้ายนั้นจะคือ รุ้งนั่นเอง และเขาจะต้องสืบความจริงจากรุ้งให้ได้ รุ้งไม่รู้เลยว่าหญิงชราคนนั้นคือนางแสงหล้า แม่แท้ๆ ของรุ้งนั่นเอง ที่นางต้องส่งรุ้งไปอยู่เมืองนอกก็เพราะ นายคำรณ สามี ใหม่ที่เป็นนักเลงคุมบ่อนและซ่อง ที่ทั้งซ้อมและรีดไถนางอยู่ตลอด ทำท่าว่า จะล่วงเกินรุ้งถึงขั้นขู่จะส่งรุ้งไปขายตัวที่ชายแดน นางจึงรีบส่งรุ้งไป อยู่กับญาติที่กำลังไปทำงานที่แอลเอ
ทูนสนิทกับรุ้งมากขึ้นและพยายาม ล้วงความลับของรุ้ง รุ้งปรับทุกข์แต่เรื่องที่อิทธิบังคับให้เธอแต่งงานกับเขาโดยที่เธอไม่ได้ รัก รุ้งสารภาพประวัติแท้จริงทั้งหมด แต่สิ่งที่รุ้งยังไม่รู้ก็คือทำไมแม่ต้องทิ้งเธอ รุ้งเข้าใจว่าเพราะแม่รักชายชู้คนใหม่ จึงคิดกำจัดเธอเสีย ทูนเห็นใจ และเริ่มมีความหวังว่ารุ้งอาจจะรักเขาบ้าง
รุ้งโด่งดังขึ้น เรื่อยๆ และคนที่จำรุ้งได้ก็คือนายคำรณพ่อเลี้ยงนั่นเอง ในคอนเสิร์ทครั้ง หนึ่ง แสงหล้าตามมาแอบดูรุ้งร้องเพลง แสงหล้าตกใจที่เห็นนายคำรณเข้ามาแสดง ตัวกับรุ้ง คำรณขู่รุ้งว่าถ้าไม่จ่ายเงินหลักล้านให้ตน ตนจะเปิดโปงเรื่อง การปลอมประวัติของรุ้ง ทั้งเรื่องแม่ที่เป็นหญิงบาร์และขายตัวอยู่ที่ โคราช ทูนเข้าปกป้องรุ้ง และขู่กลับนายคำรณไม่ให้มายุ่งกับรุ้งอีก งานนี้ ทูนจ่ายนายคำรณไปเยอะ แต่หารู้ไม่ว่าจุ๊บแจงและเจ๊จวงเห็นเหตุการณ์ และ เรียกนายคำรณไปซักฟอก และเริ่มแผนการทำลายรุ้งอย่างต่อเนื่อง ด้วยความที่ อยากอยู่ใกล้และปกป้องลูกสาว แสงหล้าเสนอตัวมาเป็นแม่ครัวของทีมงานเวลาออก คอนเสิร์ท อิทธิ จวง จุ๊บแจง ขวัญข้าว และอาชาแสดงท่าทางรังเกียจแสงหล้า มี แต่รุ้งเท่านั้นที่ขอให้อิทธิรับแสงหล้าเข้าทำงาน
อิทธิเร่งรัด เรื่องการแต่งงานกับรุ้งเพราะเห็นรุ้งสนิทกับทูนเกินเหตุ แต่ รุ้งยังไม่พร้อม เธอต้องตาม หาแม่ให้เจอ อิทธิเลยสร้างหลักฐานปลอมว่าแม่ของรุ้งตายแล้ว รุ้งเสียใจมากจน เกิดภาวะซึมเศร้า ร้องเพลงไม่ได้ ทูนช่วยปลอบจนรุ้งคลายใจ อิทธิยิ่งไม่พอใจ จะเลิกจ้างทูนแต่ติดขัดที่เซ็นสัญญาไว้แล้ว อิทธิวางแผนจะให้รุ้งเข้าใจผิด ทูนและเลิกคบกับทูน จังหวะนั้นฟ้าใสและจุ๊บแจงเข้ามาเสนอแผนกับอิทธิ อิทธิ ร่วมมือด้วยเพราะเป็นแผนที่แยบยลที่สุด ส่วนความรักระหว่าง ทูน กับ รุ้ง กลับต้องมาผิดใจกันเมื่อฟ้าใสมาหาทูนถึงที่ไร่อินสรวง ฟ้าใสแกล้งให้ทูนดู รอยแผล อ้างว่าเกิดจากการซ้อมของเสี่ยดำรง และตอนนี้เธอกำลังท้องอ่อนๆ ฟ้า ใสกลัวว่าจะแท้งลูก เธอทำท่าจะเป็นลม จนทูนต้องเข้ามาประคองกอด และอุ้มฟ้า ใสไปนอนในห้องด้านใน รุ้งเห็นภาพในระยะห่าง เธอใจคอไม่ดี ไม่แน่ใจว่าทูนพูด ความจริงกับเธอรึเปล่า เพราะเมื่อรุ้งถามทูนว่านัดพบใครวันนี้ ทูนกลับ ปฏิเสธ รุ้งยิ่งแคลงใจมากขึ้น
ความรักระหว่าง ทูน กับ รุ้ง จะเป็นเช่นไร และทั้ง สอง จะล่วงรู้แพ้ร้ายของอิทธิ ได้อย่างไร รุ้งจะได้พบแม่ หรือไม่ ต้องติดตามใน ต้มยำลำซิ่ง
